Rule of Thirds Wedding, Brooklyn, New York

Take two foodies with impeccable aesthetic and culinary taste. Add in Rule of Thirds, a restaurant located in the heart of Brooklyn's vibrant food scene with a rotating menu that showcases local ingredients and flavors. Toss in a dash of boisterous family members and you have Jannine & Guilly’s wedding. Best. Vendor. Meal. Ever. There, I said it.

As a wedding photographer who loves to eat, there’s a special place in my heart for clients who love to eat too, and plan it as not an afterthought, but a feature! of their wedding. From the get go they told me “if we don’t get to eat at our wedding because you took us off schedule….. we’re going to be very upset.” I promised them that that would never happen, and luckily for me, the amazing team at Rule of Thirds helped me keep that promise.

All that’s to say is that weddings are as much about expressing what’s unique about you as a couple, and that can come through even in choices like “hey what kind of food do we want.” A cliche “steak or fish” option would not have worked for Jannine & Guilly. On the other hand, forcing them to book a “popular” or “normal” wedding venue wouldn’t have worked for them either because they’re not that kind of couple! It helps that Rule of Thirds not only has amazing food, but is a super beautiful space as well. They’ve got a chic, modern-industrial vibe right in the heart of Brooklyn, and their event space was customized to Jannine & Guilly’s wishes.
